WRITERS MAGAZINE Exercise

MLJ 210 (OBJECTIVES AND STEPS)
Exercise 4

The new magazine WRITERS is looking for a logo.

This cover of the first issue is going to be dedicated to the writer Jhumpa Lahiri.

They want to use a black and white picture submitted by Mrs. Lahiri’s agent, but they want to give the picture a duotone color. (They would prefer a reddish or bluish tone for the cover…)

The picture has some scratches that they want the graphic designer to fix and erase (some stains and pimples on her face and her neck.)

They want the designer to play with the name and the picture of Mrs. Lahiri’s. The head of Mrs. Lahiri’s should cover a little bit of the logo of the magazine.

The editors of WRITER magazine have for this edition a small piece on writer Mrs.Toni Morrison, and a full color picture that they want the designer to place at one of the corners of the magazine cover.

The call to the piece is: Interview with Toni Morrison. In another line or two (and smaller size) “On a New Generation of African American writers.”

They want to see 2 different options for the cover on the designer’s web blog by tonight 9:20 p.m.
